Australian plant-based nutrition company Green Choice Proteins is preparing to launch its products in the United States, a move that highlights evolving consumer preferences and could influence the biohacking and functional nutrition markets. The family-owned company, based in Victoria, Australia, is gearing up to introduce its clean-label plant protein powders through OneLavi and Amazon after completing September's ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The company's approach reflects a broader shift in plant-based eating, moving beyond traditional meat and dairy alternatives to focus on convenient, protein-rich foods that fit into everyday routines. Green Choice Proteins emphasizes ingredient transparency, responsible sourcing, and clean-label formulations, using Australian-grown pea and faba proteins, omega-3 from linseed, and no artificial colours, flavours, or fillers.
For the biohacking community, which prioritizes optimized nutrition, performance, and recovery, this expansion offers new options that align with those values. The initial U.S. lineup includes three flavors: Chocolate Flavored Protein Powder, which provides 35.3g of plant protein per serving and features pure cocoa powder and coconut milk powder; Vanilla Flavored Protein Powder, with 34.9g of protein per serving and designed for smoothies, oats, and baking; and Salted Caramel Flavored Protein Powder, also offering 34.9g of protein per serving with a balanced sweet and salty profile. All products are made with Australian-grown plant proteins and include omega-3 from linseed.
"Plant-based nutrition doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing lifestyle choice," said Puneet Chawla, Founder of Green Choice Proteins. "We believe consumers should have access to high-quality plant protein products that fit naturally into their everyday lives, whether they're focused on fitness, general wellness or simply making more thoughtful food choices."
The expansion comes as more consumers seek functional foods that support wellness and performance without artificial additives. Green Choice Proteins' focus on clean-label ingredients and everyday versatility could pressure other brands to elevate their formulations, benefiting biohackers who demand transparency and efficacy. The company's participation in the ECRM session, a key event for retail buyers, signals its intent to establish a strong U.S. presence and potentially disrupt the protein powder market with Australian-made alternatives.
